As a children's book illustrator, I create the artwork and visuals that help tell the story in children's books. This is an important role, as the illustrations engage young readers and bring the words on the page to life.

- My process starts by reading the manuscript and getting a sense of the overall tone, setting and characters.
- Then I begin sketching initial ideas for the key scenes and characters.
- I work in collaboration with the author, editor and art director to refine the illustrations until they capture the right mood and details.
- Once the interior illustrations are complete, I also create the cover art for the book. The cover is crucial for making a great first impression and enticing children to pick up the book.
-For the cover, I aim to make eye-catching, imaginative images that give a glimpse into the magic inside.
- The final step is delivering the high-resolution artwork so the publisher can print the physical book and release the eBook version.

As an author-illustrator, I feel immense pride when holding the published book in my hands for the first time. Knowing children will connect with the characters I visualized makes all the hours of effort worthwhile.

To date, I have illustrated children's books spanning a range of styles and subject matter. My books are available both as print editions and eBooks via Amazon. Seeing my illustrations and book covers displayed on Amazon is extremely fulfilling. Connecting with readers who appreciate my artwork makes the challenges of being a freelance illustrator rewarding.

I'm so grateful to have the opportunity to do what I love - drawing pictures that spark children's imaginations.
