I don’t like to use the word ‘script’ as often, you can identify if someone is reading from a script in a robotic-like manner. I prefer to use what I can a ‘Sales Script Base’. This provides the ‘base’ of a script and includes all the important points to get across in those first imperative 30 seconds of a phone call, which can ultimately be ‘make or break’.

Cold calling is one of the oldest, yet one of the BEST sources of acquiring new clients. However, many business owners and entrepreneurs find it a struggle, as their forte is their business matter, and not necessarily sales.

This is where I can help – I have been working in sales for over 15 years, and specifically focusing on telemarketing for almost the last 10 years. A great cold call ‘sales script base’ can be difficult to write for your own company, even if you know the points you want to get across which make your business offering so great. However, it’s how to put this across in an attention-grabbing, punchy and direct manner, which won’t waste either party’s time. Ideally this should be done in 30 seconds or less, so you can get a clear indicator of interest or know when to move on to the next number.
