By 'targeted' I don't mean pressing a button on an online distribution service to 2,000 emails on a list (which often goes nowhere since most of those emails are no longer relevant). No, I'm talking about picking up the phone and selling in your release to journalists (ie 'pitching' them) and making sure the email address I send it to is valid and that your release will be read.
