Over the years, I often get asked how I came to combine design, development and marketing. The truth is that art and graphics were originally a hobby, which led me into art school in my teens. From there I discovered web design, specifically HTML and PHP, which became my main choice of work.

What started as design and development soon grew into a much bigger passion. I realised that I loved not just building websites and creating visuals, but also the challenge of helping businesses actually grow through them.

During this time, I was also creating graphics and ad creatives for agencies. Very quickly, I noticed that the real results were coming from my ads and ideas, yet those agencies were charging clients a fortune for simply implementing what I had created. That was the moment I realised I didn’t just enjoy the creative side. I had a real passion for marketing and lead generation, and I wanted to be the one delivering the full service to clients.

It was this mix of creativity, technical know-how and marketing insight that ultimately led me to form Think Grow Media.

By 2005, after working as a Senior Web Designer at one of the UK’s largest development agencies, I decided to set out on my own. I had seen firsthand how agencies overcharged clients and delivered poor service, and I wanted to do things differently. Since then, I’ve worked across almost every industry and built up a wealth of experience and long-term client relationships.

My Change in Direction — Think Grow Media
In 2020, I founded and developed Think Grow Media with my business partner. While I still design and build websites and ecommerce platforms, my focus has increasingly shifted towards helping businesses generate leads and grow. I discovered a real passion for lead generation, and there’s nothing quite like the buzz of helping a client win more business.

Today, we specialise in creating clever, creative Facebook ads, both graphical and video (for those confident in front of the camera), and building marketing funnels that improve lead quality. Alongside this, we run Google PPC campaigns, manage SEO, and continue to develop websites with one clear aim: to follow them up with a proper marketing strategy. Because without a strategy, even the best website risks being like a shop with the lights off and the door locked. Nobody finds it, and nobody buys.
