About me

Hello! I’m Caroline at Esteemed Editing and I offer copy-editing, proofreading, copywriting and editorial research solutions to businesses, freelancers, authors and publishers. I’m passionate about editing and copywriting, whether it’s for books, websites, reports, marketing materials, press releases or something else. I’ve worked and trained hard to build an in-depth knowledge of copywriting and editorial excellence.

A member of the Chartered Institute of Editing and Proofreading (CIEP), I’ve now completed more than 20 courses with both the CIEP and The Publishing Training Centre (PTC), including copy-editing, proofreading and writing for the web. I’m fully proficient in the use of macros and BSI proofreading symbols, and I’ll happily work with Word, PDF or Google Docs.

I write expertly crafted website text, helping companies to communicate their brand, who they are and why they do what they do, to their ideal audience. I'm also experienced in compiling informative, eloquent and inspiring product descriptions for online shops and eCommerce businesses.

Additionally, I conduct editorial research and write well-researched engaging press articles and blogs for my clients.

Businesses regularly hire me to proofread or edit reports, marketing materials and their own social media posts and newsletters.

I also work in publishing, specialising in education and children's books. I've worked with publishers such as:

- Berlitz (Berlitz Flex)
- Hodder Education (Primary Language Arts for Jamaica and Beaconhouse Primary Science)

I'm also an experienced Virtual Assistant (VA) so I'm equally happy doing administrative tasks and back-office work.
